Overview

We’re currently looking for a Healthcare Copywriter to join our team and help create unignorable work for some pretty terrific clients. If you’re a self-starter with plenty of Grrrrrrr, we would love to hear from you.

The Copywriter, with the support of the Creative Director, will be responsible for creative ideation and content development for a wide range of promotional and educational materials for physicians, patients and consumers. Relying on their research skills, they will “own” the brand—understanding the therapeutic area, the client’s business needs and challenges, as well as john st.’s own objectives and goals. They will contribute their ideas as part of the strategic planning process and will interact closely with the Creative and Account teams to ensure that final written materials meet client needs, are scientifically accurate and meet the appropriate regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate and identify compelling information from product monographs, medical journals and clinical papers
  • Rationalize, defend and support content with internal teams, clients and regulatory agencies (ASC and PAAB)
  • Leverage project management skills to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Support new business development
  • Contribute to agency life and culture
  • Keep projects moving on a day-to-day basis through creative development and aspects of production

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare writing experience required
  • Experience in a wide range of therapeutic categories preferred 
  • Previous agency experience is preferred
  • Track record of developing original and successful promotional and educational materials
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solver, organized work style with a high attention to detail
  • A passion for science and healthcare
  • Enthusiasm for advertising and marketing
  • A bachelor’s degree in life or health science an asset, but not mandatory
  • French is an asset, but not mandatory
